Math
In Math, we finished up chapter 7 with our test on Thursday over Metric Measurement of Length and are skipping over to chapter 10 starting Tuesday, which is Using Mental Math.
Reading
We also finished theme 10 this week and are moving onto theme 11 next week, which is called, "At the Farm", and we'll be reading about rural life and the importance of farming while using new reading strategies.
*The Great Kindness Challenge Project is due on Tuesday. I'm excited to talk with your children about it and see the impact it left on them!*
Writing
We will be diving into poetry next week!
Science
Next week we will begin Animal Classification studies, a favorite of mine to teach! There will be an upcoming project centered around this, so be on the look out for it next week.

Important Info:
- NO SCHOOL MONDAY (President's Day)
- We will be having only a few sight words from here on out
- Rock The House - Feb. 27 @ 5:00-7:30 pm!
- When doing homework calendars, please make sure your child or you is writing an actual number down to represent how many minutes so I know if they are or are not getting their minutes in. When there is simply a check mark in the boxes/days, I cannot give them full credit. A check mark does not tell me if they are actually practicing and reading at home enough to meet the goal. I try to limit other homework in hopes that families will make the reading and math practice at home a priority. Also: don't forget to sign it! :)
Have a LOVEly Valentine's weekend! ♥
