We've talked more about what the first Thanksgiving was really like and practicing our comparing/contrasting skills by figuring out how Thanksgiving then was similar and different to now. We dug into Native Americans more by learning all about the different homes they had in different regions by mapping it out. We have talked a lot about what we are thankful for, too!
We practiced our bar graphing skills by graphing our favorite Thanksgiving foods. Then, we analyzed our data!
We read and analyzed poetry as well that was focused around Thanksgiving Day, learning new vocabulary such as stanza.
We also had some students perform a reader's theater called, "Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving". The kids worked so hard last week practicing for their performance and it was a success!
