We've started focusing on place value this week and learning the ones, tens, and hundreds place of a 3-digit number, as well as writing numbers in expanded form, word form, and standard form.
READING
Our mentor text next week will be A Bad Case of Stripes. We're working on how to summarize a text using the Somebody, Wanted, But, So, Then strategy.
WRITING
We've begun Personal Narratives this week and are in the pre-writing stage where students are laying out their beginnings, middles, and ends of their stories. We're working on coming up with sensory details to go with each part of our story.
