MATH
We are wrapping up time and when we return from spring break we will be taking some time to review the critical concept of regrouping in both addition and subtraction. It's so important that this skill is mastered before third grade, so we're taking some time to loop back to it.
READING
Our mentor text next week will continue to be Rosie Revere, Engineer by Andrea Beaty. We will be exploring the other two books in this series: Iggy Peck, Architect and Ada Twist, Scientist! We'll be practicing describing characters, investigating character actions/responses, and looking for rhythm and rhyme in a story.
WRITING
We've begun RESEARCH! Student chose an animal to research and classify. We've begun the brainstorming and organizing research stages.
SCIENCE
We're researching how plants grow along with their parts! We're simultaneously watching our mealworms as well. MOST of them are beetles so far!
