We've been focusing on place value this week and learning the ones, tens, and hundreds place of a 3-digit number, as well as writing numbers in expanded form, word form, and standard form. Next week we'll begin comparing 3-digit numbers and ordering numbers!

READING
Our mentor text next week will be Wilfrid Gordon McDonald Partridge by Mem Fox. We're working on how to identify the main idea and details of a fiction text.
WRITING
We've been hard at work on our Personal Narratives this week and have started drafting. Students worked on ways to "hook" their readers and will continue the drafting stage next week.
SCIENCE
We've been loving our caterpillars this week! We're learning about the parts of a caterpillar, metamorphosis, and are studying our caterpillars as they grow by recording observations in our journals.
