The kids have been working really hard learning and applying how to subtract 3-digit numbers with and without regrouping. We took Chapter 3 test this week! I hope to get them graded over the weekend or early next week, so keep a look out for math test results on Seesaw. if you haven't connected with our class please do, so that you can see all the wonderful things your child is doing in the classroom. Next, we will use our skills we learned in the addition and subtraction chapter to apply it with Bar Models in Chapter 4.
READING
Our mentor text next week is The Rough-Face Girl by Rafe Martin. Through this mentor text, we'll be studying comparing folktales and characters throughout the story.
We also started a new chapter book read aloud: Charlotte's Web!
WRITING
We completed our opinion writing activity over the story Hey, Little Ant! Next week we'll start another. We will be writing from the point of view of either Team Sweet or Team Salty. What kind of snacks do you prefer?
SCIENCE
We are studying liquids and their properties and looking into how liquids can change. .
