We reviewed subtraction with regrouping this week and will be diving into graphing next week! Our focus will be on pictographs--always a fun and engaging unit!
READING
Our mentor text next week will be Miss Rumphius by Barbara Cooney. We're going to be analyzing story structure and elements with this text, as well as making connections with Earth Day (which is on Sunday) and how to take care of our environment.
WRITING
We've been in research mode and are publishing our animal research projects this week! Most of us are wrapped up with publishing and can't wait to share! Next week we'll be starting fiction stories.
SCIENCE
We are diving into caterpillars! We'll be studying the life cycle and needs, as well as the need for them in our environment. We will be focusing on the butterfly life cycle the next few weeks
