We're had our test today over measurement and will be starting mental math next week. We'll be learning strategies to add and subtract in our head and learn how to break apart numbers. We'll spend about 3 weeks on this unit before testing.
READING
Our mentor text this week is Alexander Who Used to Be Rich Last Sunday, by Judith Viorst. We'll be learning how to find the lesson and moral of the story when we read.
WRITING
We are working on biographies and next week students are going to begin a biography and research on a person of their choice.

SCIENCE/SOCIAL STUDIES
We're working through our Science investigation of Pebbles, Sand, and Silt. Next week we'll talk about what silt is and how it's created.
